The Guild

2nd & 4th Wednesday, 7-8:30pm
September until March

  • The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to come together. We have a varied programme of speakers, both local and further afield, and entertainers to ensure our meetings are enjoyed by everyone who comes along.

We meet every fortnight, with a varied programme of activities, followed by tea/coffee and a blether. We are also involved in community events and church services throughout the year. Our meetings encourage fellowship and create opportunities for continuing growth in our Christian faith, through worship, prayer and action. We work together with other Guilds to fundraise for chosen projects/charities involved in national and international mission work.

JaM

Sunday morning during worship

  • Come along and be part of our church family.

We start off together as one big church family for the first 15 minutes. Kids can sit with their grown-ups or hang out with their friends — totally up to them! Then it’s off to the hall for fun, games, and activities. Not sure where to go? No problem — someone friendly will point you in the right direction.

We’re an all-age group where everyone joins in. We share stories, make friends, get creative with crafts, and have fun with games. We learn about faith and life together — kids helping adults see the world through their eyes, and adults sharing how they see it too. It’s a space where everyone belongs and everyone learns.

Pastoral Care Group

The role of Elderslie and Linwood's Pastoral Care Group is to support the Minister in caring for the pastoral needs of our congregation.

  • We reach out in simple but meaningful ways. Our volunteers visit those who are housebound or in hospital, bringing friendship and care. Each Sunday, church flowers go to someone facing challenges or celebrating something special, accompanied by a card and a hand-knitted cross made with love by a member of our congregation. It’s our way of sharing God’s love and letting people know they’re not alone.

External Groups

Various external groups also use our halls, as we welcome the community into Elderslie & Linwood Parish Church including AA, Action for Children, Yoga, Quilting Guild. If you would like to find out more about when these groups meet, please get in touch and we can provide more information.
